The Snake Plant is a relatively fast and vigorously growing plant and is easy to look after. Its shapes and the pattern on its leaves are what give it a really showy appearance. It is able to cope with less than ideal conditions, but can grow at its best only in the right environment. It is a very hardy plant that tolerates dry air, draughts and drought well, so it is especially popular in institutions and offices. It has a huge number of different and / or special varieties that could be collected infinitely.

Give it a partially shaded, bright spot. Direct sunlight can burn its leaves; in too much shade it will lose its decorative looks.
It is drought-tolerant: make sure it gets the preferred amount of water, as overwatering can cause the plant to rot.
Its strong roots can often deform the pot. It grows many offshoots, which can be removed from the mother plant to grow new plants. It produces oxygen at night, too.
It is native to Africa and Asia.
