It is a type of fern with really interesting foliage. In addition to its silver-green foliage, looking like antlers, it also has so-called humus-collecting leaves, which, however, do not look like leaves at all. They develop around the base of the plant, initially green but later turn brownish in colour: their original function, in ferns living on trees in tropical areas, is to collect humus from which the plant can absorb nutrients.

Position it in semi-shade. It will do well in your apartment if it has less light, as it doesn’t much like sunny locations.
It has moderate water needs, but it prefers high humidity.
Attached to tree bark or cocedama, it can be a very special ornament for your home.
Staghorn fern is native to areas of Australia, Peru, Madagascar and New Guinea.
