It is ideally suited for a bright spot – protected from direct sunlight at all costs –, but it also does well in partial shade.
It will be happy with one watering per week on average. Let its medium dry out a little before the next watering. In the warmer summer period, it may need watering more often.
Over time, it will need support: you can have its tendrils climb on a trellis or moss pole.
It comes from the tropical rainforests of the Americas and the Caribbean.
