With its unusually-shaped leaves, this decorative houseplant grows to a large size. Give it a bright spot, out of direct sunlight. It grows moderately quickly (1.5-2 m), and it can be cut back if it outgrows its space.

All it needs is a warm, bright spot out of strong sunlight.
It has a moderate need for water but is sensitive to overwatering. Between waterings, wait until the soil becomes completely dry.
Cold air and overwatering may cause the leaves to turn brown.
Its native habitat is West Africa, from Cameroon to Sierra Leone. In natural conditions, it can grow up to 10-15 metres tall.
