It is a tree-like houseplant with a braided trunk and palmately compound, medium to deep green leaves. It is a relatively broad, columnar, upright-growing, shrubby variety. You can shape its foliage by pruning.

Keep it in a bright to moderately bright location, protecting its leaves from full sun.
It has moderate water needs; it is flexible in terms of watering habits, but it is better to let the soil dry out between waterings than to overwater it.
A plant that is about 10 years old can grow up to 1.5 m tall. It’s good to know that the plant can cause irritation if it’s in contact with your skin.
The Schefflera originally comes from Taiwan and southern China.
