It will be comfortable in a partially shaded spot, protected from full sun.
It is a thirsty plant and needs misting. Keep the soil constantly moist.
It may retreat into its rhizome in autumn, which does not mean the death of the plant; it only indicates that it requires a rest period. During that time, don’t feed the plant and water it only moderately.
Native to East India and the Philippines, it is now a houseplant that’s widespread around the world. In its natural habitat, it can reach a height of 2 meters, but indoors it grows up to just 30-50 centimeters tall. Every part of the plant is poisonous.
